Pearl McRoy Robbins, 81, of Waverly passed away on August 10, 2016. Born on August 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Monnie and Ethel Hodges Cherry McRoy. Pearl enjoyed the outdoors, whether she was working in her well manicured yard or riding her bicycle through the countryside. She faithfully attended Waverly United Methodist Church where she was actively involved in the United Methodist Women’s group. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sherrel T. Robbins and a grandson, Greg Bulls.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Darrow Rea “Tab” Robbins Walker; her son, Sherrel T. Robbins, Jr.; her half-sister, Diane McRoy Jackson; her sisters-in-law, Jane Woolard and Louise Robbins and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 12, 2016 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel from 7 to 8:30 PM. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2016 Waverly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad P.O.
