Fannie Rollings Stewart, 89, of Elberon passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
Fannie was a loving mother and a devoted wife who made friends everywhere she went and she never met a stranger. She loved her garden and canning that provided for her family. Fannie was a member of Union Christian Church.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Fannie Rawls Rollings; her husband, Walter Stewart, Sr.; her grandson, Andy Edwards; a sister, Clara Crowder and a brother, Percy Rollings, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bucky Stewart and his wife, Connie, Cathy Edwards and her husband, Mike, Millie Bulifant and her husband, Charlie, Marvin Stewart, and Robert Stewart and his wife, Robbie; grandchildren, Becky Hite, Jessica Stewart, Wayne Stewart, Dee Roberts, Mike Edwards, Jr., Amy Blankenship, and Becky Ruffin; great-grandchildren, Jackson Hite, Kaitlyn Roberts, Steven Roberts, Tyler Roberts, Preston Edwards, Wyatt Edwards, Kayla Howell, Brandon Ruffin, Jaden Ruffin, Landon Ruffin, Ashdon Ruffin, and Hunter Blankenship; and one great-great-grandson, Vincent Roberts.
The family received friends Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel from 6 to 8:00 pm and at other times at the home of Bucky and Connie Stewart.
A funeral service was held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Ray Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Christian Church cemetery.
