Focus on firearms for chamber’s ‘Preserving Your Wealth’ event

SUSSEX – The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce will bring out the big guns for the next installment of their free, educational Preserving your Wealth series.  On October 29, just in time for hunting season, the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce will present a free program on Firearm Safety and Regulations. and according to Pat Jenkins, Sussex County Chamber’s Vice President and Treasurer, the event is open to all.  

“It’s part of our educational series on helping the family preserve your personal and business wealth,” Jenkins explained.  “And we’re so excited to have three great presenters who are leaders in their fields.  On October 29 at 6 p.m., Sussex County Sheriff Ernest Giles, Game Warden Dan Smith from the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, and Marlon Dance from Dances’ Sporting Goods will be at The Colonial Tavern in Waverly to share information about lots of gun-related topics.”

Topics the panel will cover include Firearms rules and regulations, Buying a gun, How the process works, Background checks, Concealed carry license process for new and renewal licenses, Game and hunting regulations, and Individual counties’ regulations.  The chamber will provide free hors d’ouvres for the event and prior registration is not required.
